 Pilanesberg National Park is an ideal alternative to Kruger for travellers with less time or just wanting to get away from the traffic and crowds of Johannesburg. Situated just over 2 hours from Johannesburg, Pilanesberg is malaria free, covers an area of about 50,000 hectares and is South Africa’s 5th largest game reserve. Pilanesberg supports about 81 mammal species including the big five (Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and Rhino), as well as many other rare mammals such as Sable, African Wild Dog, Cheetah, Cape Clawless Otter, Black Rhino and Brown Hyena together with fantastic birding and over 350 species which occur in the park.

Madikwe Private Game Reserve is a Big 5 reserve in the North West Province of South Africa. The reserve was established in 1991 and is one of South Africa’s largest reserves. Situated in a malaria free area, this 60,000 hectare reserve is home to 66 species of mammal about 300 species of bird. Guests are taken on conducted day and night game drives or bush walks. Excellent accommodation is available at various private lodges in the reserve, which number over 20! We offer various options to the reserve for varying periods of time and different lodges.
